Opening a can of worms! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I hate when my morning goes awry! I had trouble sleeping last night, and I think I know why, so I slept in rather late. And then I realized as I was making breakfast that I forgot to buy bananas for my oatmeal. Sigh................. Let's hope the weirdness stops NOW! I have too much to do in the day to waste time by not getting a good night's sleep.

I have to say that the days are becoming very much the same. I got two more of the small quilts done.

Community projects quilt - DONE

I think I ...

Progress on Green Tea! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Where were all of you with shoe recommendations BEFORE I left? I'm kidding, of course; only I can take responsibility for my shoe choice. But I have been thinking about my shoes, and I looked since the box was still in the garage.

AHA --- as I suspected. There is a WP on that label. What does that mean? These darn things are WATERPROOF, which was NOT what I needed on that trip.

The label on the shoe box

I checked out the shoes online, and people have raved about the shoes and there are TWO versions -- waterproof and not ...

Just one more piece! Just one! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

The keyboard is back! It needed new batteries as it's a BlueTooth device. But this is the bizarre thing. Look at the back where the batteries go.

Why is this wet?

For some reason, it became WET, and my first thought was that the batteries were leaking. But they didn't appear to be. So did I spill something on the surface? Nope -- I did not. So I don't know what the issue was. I took those batteries out and left the whole thing to dry thoroughly, and this morning, I put new batteries in, and I'm ...

The work on Green Tea continues from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

The clock is ticking, and I wrote a list of everything I must do before leaving. I'm in good shape, although as much as I'm trying to be ahead of the game, I'm sure I'll be running around on the last day like an idiot!

I still haven't bought all my clothes! And certainly haven't packed - I mean, what's to pack? Someone asked about my backpack's weight and where I came up with the 10 lbs limit.

So here's the theory -- I'm NOT doing what they call a thru-hike, so ...

Update on Green Tea and Sweet Beans from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

If anyone is interested, Mrs. Pickles (the cat) is now on antibiotics! Let's hope for a full and speedy recovery! Does anyone want a cat, as both are stray cats on the farm?

I did very well at keeping up with the sew-alongs this year. The Wonderful Woodland is ready to be quilted; Among the Stars Again is already quilted and waiting for the binding to arrive. The Long Time Gone and Wanderer's Wife quilts are in the "to be quilted" pile. And Boho Heart needs the binding and the backing made. That has NEVER happened before that ...

Green Tea and Sweet Beans update from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

It was bound to happen. I've been so lucky with all the bushwhacking I've been doing. Zero issues with plants that didn't agree with me.

However, yesterday, I decided to explore a trail that wasn't good, and now I'm in trouble. Let's start at the beginning.

I thought I'd go geocaching one more time, but I got about 3 KM from the house when I realized I did NOT have a pen. OK -- so maybe I'll go exploring and see if there's anything easy to get, and I'll go today ...

Green Tea and Sweet Beans Show and Tell from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Where did the weekend go? It's back to work -- OH -- I forgot, work never stops for me! Although most days, it's hard to call what I do work, especially since I have so much fun doing it!

I'm packed and ready to go to an in-person guild talk today. I actually had to find quilts to talk about, which wasn't difficult as it's the Scrap Quilt lecture, and there are loads of those in the house. I'm a little out of practice packing, or I'm taking more than usual --- two large suitcases and ...

Choosing fabrics that YOU like for your next quilt from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

OK -- I'm not sure who read the blog first thing in the morning yesterday, but Grammarly did NOT do me a service. During my editing, Grammarly stripped ALL the punctuation out of the blog. ZERO periods, no commas, nothing! It was a nightmare, and I had two anxious dogs waiting, so I couldn't fix it at that time. It's fixed now -- thankfully, my "editor" doesn't read the blog until later!

I admit that I', a bit obsessive. I don't think I'm too bad, but once I get fixated on something and am motivated, I ...
